# What is Sandbox mode?

## Sandbox mode allows you to safely test API integrations before going live.

Sandbox mode is designed for testing purposes and provides limited access to product data. It enables you to simulate API transactions, validate integration processes, and familiarise yourself with the API workflows, all without affecting production data.

Please note:

◊ Sandbox contains a limited dataset and is not intended for evaluating data quality.

◊ For full access to live data and carbon reporting, you must use the production environment.
